About the Role: As a leader on the US Talent Team, you’ll serve as a strategic partner to champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) hiring with cross-functional business leaders and other members of the Talent Team. You'll be trusted to work autonomously to develop sourcing strategies that promote DE&I for positions from entry level to leadership. You’ll inspire and align all Talent Team members to drive an exceptional candidate experience while championing DE&I in our interview and assessment processes. The scope of this role expands beyond strategic talent acquisition and includes other talent-related projects and work needed to support our evolving DE&I journey.

This role will also have global exposure in the hopes that helping to create our best-in-class strategies will be useful to H&M and other brands under the H&M Group worldwide.

Please note that this role is hybrid, based out of the NYSO and does require being in office 2 days a week.

Your Day to Day:

  • Champion diversity and culture in all aspects of the hiring process, from content of job descriptions, recruitment strategies, and formulation of interview panels as well as candidate experience.
  • Inspire and coach Talent Partner peers to identify ways to drive diverse sourcing and engagement in their searches.
  • Collaborate with I&D Leadership to refresh the US talent attraction diversity strategy by staying connected to innovative workforce diversity and recruitment tools, trends, and best practices. Provide ongoing feedback on retention strategies.
  • Establish/maintain relationships with community, civic, and fraternal organizations, along with colleges/universities to promote H&M as an employer of choice.
  • Influence/deliver a full-cycle inclusive recruiting process from sourcing, initial phone screens, to final stage negotiations and hiring to ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience; lead by example to demonstrate to other members of the US Talent Team.
  • Identify coaching and awareness opportunities for interview panelists to provide candidates with an inclusive experience.
  • Contribute and proactively influence hiring processes & procedures, employer branding, onboarding, and organizational planning that will allow the company to holistically provide a sense of inclusion and belonging.
  • Partner and develop strong relationships with stakeholders to provide consultation on recruitment/interview strategies, ensure alignment on specifications for each role, and hiring best practices.
  • Maintains current knowledge of business functions, talent mapping and pipelining for niche roles, plus headcount planning
  • Serves as a brand ambassador and participates in strategic diversity HR projects and staffing events
  • Support the evolution of H&M’s Training programs through participation in developing campus recruiting plan, attendance at career fairs and community outreach.
  • Use reporting and metrics to improve recruiting efficiency and outcomes where applicable.

Minimum Candidate Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 3+ years of corporate diversity recruiting experience, ideally in retail, hospitality, or restaurant industries
  • 5-7 years of corporate recruiting experience, preferably across a range of functions
  • Proven experience with developing and implementing strategies promoting diversity and inclusion that deliver results
  • Innovative thinking to identify new ways to attract and engage a diverse field of candidates
  • Must have experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Must have experience with LinkedIn Recruiter for posting jobs, Boolean searches, and sending InMails
  • Must be familiar and comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite on a daily basis (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
  • Strong sourcing and interview skills and ability to select high-quality talent
  • Strong effective communicator, that can autonomously manage relationships with candidates and hiring managers, negotiation of salaries, and extending offers
  • Team oriented and collaborative with the ability to flex in support of the timelines and deliverables of team members
  • A problem solver with the ability to develop creative solutions, handle confidential information and work in an agile environment
  • A self-starter, consistently motivated, proactive and resourceful, seeking feedback
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • An effective time manager, comfortable working on multiple requisitions at various stages
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion
  • Able to thrive in an agile environment, comfortable with changing candidate and hiring manager needs
  • A helpful team player with business maturity in a professional setting, willing to roll up your sleeves and partner with team members based on bandwidth
  • An active participant in teamwide meetings and conversations; eager to ask questions and provide thoughtful insight
  • A self-starter, consistently motivated, proactive and resourceful, seeking feedback
  • A desire to stay on top of recruitment and industry trends

Compensation:

Salary Range is $110,000 - 124,000 annually**
